Play the game on the internet
If you're a PC gamer, then you probably love Steam, Valve Software's content delivery service. In Steam, the games are cheaper, there's an anti-cheat system in place, and there's even an incorporation of downloadable content. Alas, while Steam is awesome in many respects, it's not perfect. As you know, as games get more advanced, they get bigger so downloads can be a pain.
Itching for Empire: Total War? You're going to wait a while because the game needs to be downloaded completely first before you can start playing.
Enter British company Awomo. Their idea: take a game's core files, which should be enough to get it running, and then download the rest while you're playing. Easy peasy.
In fact, you can try out Awomo's service by signing up and downloading Tomb Raider: Legend, which is around 7.2GB in size. Instead of waiting for the whole game to finish downloading, all you have to do is download 625MB worth of files and you're good to go.
While everything looks dandy, there's a problem. The only game you can download is Tomb Raider: Legend. Like those lengthy Steam downloads, you're going to have to wait before more games are added to Awomo's roster.
